Corrections and new evidence

Corrections policy

Every fact in this Index is sourced to a primary document - a filed law, a regulator's own guidance, a company's own public disclosure - wherever one could be read, and cited at the point it's used; where a substitute was used, the entry says so. Primary sources change, get superseded, or get misread. When that happens here, we correct it.

A correction is made the same way the finding was made: publicly, dated, and attributed to what changed and why - not quietly edited without a trace. If a jurisdiction's enforcement status shifts, if a cited disclosure is later contradicted, or if we get something wrong, the entry is updated and the correction is logged, visible to anyone who read the original.

We would rather be told we are wrong than assumed to be right. If you find an error in this Index, tell us: indexreport.protocol@fijishi.com.

Each correction is also posted as a dated reply under the entry it changes. Changes to the Methodology are logged here too.

Sending new evidence

If you hold a public primary document that bears on an entry, such as a rule, a regulator's publication or a company's own disclosure, send it or a link to it to indexreport.protocol@fijishi.com, and tell us which entry it concerns.

We check it against the entry, and if it changes a fact, we correct the entry under the policy above.

We act only on documents that anyone can check. We do not act on private documents or on claims we cannot trace to a source.
