Fijishi is based in Pune, India, and was incorporated in May 2023. It works on the governance of AI decisions: it publishes research, makes submissions to public consultations and offers AI certification services.
It is led by its two founders, Akhil Sharma and Preethi Sharma, who wrote this Index.
Why we built it
Since 2023 our research and submissions have examined where AI decisions meet the rules meant to govern them. The Index applies that work to one sector, in the same way, across 34 jurisdictions.
Our papers and submissions, each with its date: Institutional Submissions, Sovereign Command Doctrine and Accountability Series.
Independence
- No one pays to appear in the Index, and no one can pay to change an entry.
- No company, regulator or government was told of its entry before publication, and none had any input into its tier or band.
- The Index does not rank jurisdictions or companies against each other.
- We do not sell or pitch to any regulator or government the Index covers, and we do not send the Index to them unasked. Our submissions to public consultations are published separately.
- Fijishi's other work includes AI certification services for firms, including insurers and reinsurers. After publication we may contact firms in the jurisdictions covered. For a company named in an entry, our first contact is a notice of the entry, its question and the right of reply, and nothing commercial.
- Each entry states any commercial relationship Fijishi has with a party named in it. At publication there is none.
Any party named in an entry, and any firm in a covered jurisdiction, may reply by writing to indexreport.protocol@fijishi.com.
With the sender's agreement, replies are published in full below the entry, dated.
A reply that points to a public primary document may lead to a correction, made under the policy in Corrections and new evidence.
