- No entry alleges that any company, regulator or government has failed to comply with any law, rule or guidance.
- A band describes how clearly the published rules meet the published record of the case examined. It is not a finding about that case's conduct, compliance, governance or financial strength.
- The Index is not legal advice. Anyone deciding how a rule applies to them should take advice on their own facts.
- It is not a credit rating, a certification or a ranking.
- A named company is an example that shows a question is live in its jurisdiction. It is not the only firm the rules reach, and its inclusion says nothing about firms that are not named.
- Each question is open on the public record at the date the entry was last verified. A firm may have answered it privately, or may answer it later.
The Index covers how jurisdictions govern AI used in insurance decisions: underwriting, pricing, claims and systems that deal with customers, at insurers, reinsurers and, where a rule names them, intermediaries.
It relies on documents that were public when we read them and, in one entry, on our own dated observation of a public website. It cites each where it is used.
Section 4 of every entry states what that entry does not establish.
Quoting and using the Index
- You may quote any entry's question and summary, and its tier and band, if you cite the entry, for example as "Fijishi Jurisdiction Index 2026, Entry DE", and link to it.
- When you quote a band, please give the finding it belongs to; a band on its own misstates what it means.
- Please do not present an entry as Fijishi's view of any company's compliance, or as an endorsement.
